Amare SolarEclipse VS Lifted LED COB LED Grow Light
Amare Technology SolarEclipse 500W LED Grow Light
The SolarECLIPSE SE500+UVB is one of Amare's latest LED panels, featuring enhanced White-Light technology, and six powerful High-Intensity COB LED grow light-emitters housed in a patented reflector array with removable secondary optics. The Amare SolarECLIPSE SE500 LED grow light contains CREE CXB3070 or Citizen CLU-08 chips and CREE XP-C2/XPE2 supplemental diodes.
Amare featured the first and only hybrid COB/monochrome enhanced white spectrum. Using 5 watt diodes, Amare fills in and boosts the superior spectrum more than typical blurple (red/blue based) spectrum with an exceptional CRI of 94, the highest for any commercial lighting, even surpassing the excellent CMH/LEC.
...What this means is that Amare covers the entire 380-740 PAR spectrum, including UV/IR with a 50%+ spectrum efficiency vs. ~20% for the typical blurple spectrum. The result is explosive growth and flowering results demonstrated by many documented grows on various canna-forums.
The SE500 also offers dual operating modes for Grow and Bloom. A UVB bulb extends down the center of the light and is used to increase resin production in medical plants.
Perfect for vegging a 4.5' x 4.5' or flowering a 4' x 4' area, the SolarECLIPSE SE500 will surpass the light saturation point of medical plants (1500umol/sec/m2 ) and natural noon sunlight (2000umol/sec/m2).
Recommended height above canopy: 20"-32"; Amare does not recommend to place the COB panel less than 28" above the canopy with lenses installed. The special lenses are designed for high-bay applications that need a minimum of ~32" to maximize the coverage and intensity within the recommended footprint
Additional details: Aluminum housing with brilliant gloss-white powder coat
Product includes: Fixture and cord; Heavy-duty ratchet hangers and adjustable H-brackets to attach the panels together
Recommended for: Grow tents; Full-cycle growing from seedling to flower; Soil, hydroponic, aeroponic, or aquaponic systems
Lifted LED City 9 COB Grow Light
When quality and yield are paramount, the City is the only choice. Utilizing COB (chip on board) technology surrounded by 5 discrete color LED’s, the City is a powerhouse from Veg to Flower. Optional DMX control allows growers to customize spectrum, set timers and connect remotely. The available 120° design is optimized for mounting heights 3' and lower above the canopy, delivering a high performing 1728 PPFD (μmoles/m2/s) at 12"! All Lifted LED products come loaded with RS485 ports for optional hardwired DMX installations
SPECTRUM
The general consensus among horticulturists is that the blue range of the spectrum is crucial for vegging, and the red range is ideal for blooming. While this is true, this simple generalization doesn’t provide all of the wavelengths of the spectrum to really make plants flourish. By incorporating both reds, blues, infrared, ultraviolet, and multiple full spectrum COBs, Lifted LED provides one of the most ingenious arrangements that we’ve ever seen.
By taking one glance at the City 14 Grow Light, you’ll see fourteen different modules that each contain ten individual diodes positioned around their own COB. This arrangement provides a full, balanced spectrum with an incredible amount of intensity – 2700 PPFD (μmoles/m2/s) at 12″. Proven to consistently outperform a 1000w HID, each module emits 11 different bands of light with peaks in the red and blue range.
WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY
One of the coolest, most unique feature of the Lifted LED City 14 Grow Light is the ability to connect and control your fixture with your phone or tablet. Although it’s currently only available for Android users, the iOS app will be released soon.
The Lifted App is designed to give you a full insight into your grow room as it presents to you a user-friendly interface that acts as a dashboard for your LEDs. With it, you can refine your spectrum, set timers, check the temperatures, and the overall status of your fixtures. It even lets you fully calibrate your lights so that they’re operating properly at all times. With access like this, we’re quite impressed with the amount of flexibility it can offer for commercial, agricultural, or large-scale growing areas.
ENERGY USE
One of the most popular reasons why growers are looking into LED grow lights is because of the rising costs of energy. Every year the price of utilities get more expensive and LEDs have been proven that they’re a solution.
With an arrangement of fourteen modules each driven at 40 watts, and taking into account the energy used for the power supplies and cooling fans, the City 9 draws about 435 actual watts.
It uses roughly half of the energy that a 1000 watt HID fixture uses when you factor in the energy that the ballast uses. Also, there’s a good chance that you’ll be needing to use a few more hundred watts just to power the ventilation system that’s critical for the heat that a tradition HID fixture creates. In some situations, there’s so much heat output that you have to use an air conditioner that can often pull even more energy than your whole garden combined!
